*coughs* Er, comm creation
I've surprised myself by sticking with this fics-into-pdfs thing so far; I'm thinking of making ~~a comm~~ an asylum here where I can post the links and keep stuff updated and whatnot. Naming it is proving a little strange, though. So far, I have:

ebooks -- Pros: short and sweet, easy to understand, easy to remember; Cons: people might think they're real books-- real ebooks, so to speak. I dunno. And feels weird to monopolise this username when someone might want it later for, I dunno, a comm about ebooks?

fic_pdfs -- Pros: straightforward, easy to understand at first glance, purpose can be easily inferred; Cons: awkward, dry, not very fun. Uninspiring, if practical.

pink_pdfs OR pinkpdf OR pink_pdf -- Pros: ~~pink,~~ it's got 'pdf' in it, it's fun, likely easy to remember; Cons: god knows what it's about. Pink in front of something like pdf makes me think "porn" straight off, and while there will be porny pdfs made out of porny fics and posted in the comm, that's not the point of this all.

Hmm. Now that I've actually spelled this all out, I'm kind of leaning towards using ebooks...

	That was one of my first thoughts, actually. My first impression on looking through the first list I had of names was that it sounded...I don't know...books! And fans! Books by fans? Except that they're not, or won't be. :P (Reply to this) (Parent)

	I definitely like something with "pink" in it. It's got way more character than either "ebooks" or "fic_pdfs". I must say, this reading-through-my-flist-backwards thing has moments where it's a bit confusing, so now I've got to go see what exactly you're making a community for. ^_^ (Reply to this) (Thread)

:D I'm finally acting on my desire to have pdfs of my fave fics (most of which are at least novella-length, so could do with the one-file-only treatment). I thought I was going to put together a page of links and just keep that up to date once I'm done creating them, but making a comm for it makes a little more sense. And that would make the pdf thing easier to find and to point to, so...

As for the name...well, thank god IJ rename tokens are like, $5. I already caved in for

ficpdfs :P
